Biography
Mr. Gaius Chibueze Gaius is a career Information and Communication Technology consultant with over 24 years in the field involving wide-spread consulting experiences. Particularly, he has been extensively involved in the design, development, implementation and operationalization of ICT solutions for both private and public-sector organizations in Nigeria.
Gaius studied Computer Science/Statistics at the University of Nigeria, and has undergone several technical and administrative conferences and seminars in the field of Information Technology and Human Resources Management. His commitment to his profession has taken him to a few places in the world including the State of Israel, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Egypt, to name but a few.
Gaius is a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (FIIM) Africa and a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Corporate Administration (FCAI).
He is the CEO of RockSystems Global Services, a company committed to efficient and timely delivery of ICT and allied projects, products and services under strict monitoring and quality assurance. He is also the Executive Director of Help For The Fatherless Scholarship Foundation, a registered non-governmental, not-for-profit, community-based organization that caters for the welfare of destitute widows and fatherless children.

Developed several software packages including a Hospital management system, Human Resources Management system, Student life-cycle package and Banking system, among others.
Designed and developed several websites

Responsibilities
Present status
Gaius presently works at the Centre for Distance & e-Learning of the University of Nigeria, as the Deputy Director ICT/Learners Support Services, a position he took up in 2016. His current position saddles him with the direct responsibility of:
understanding the Centre’s goals and objectives as well as creating and implementing programs and projects that will help actualize those goals and objectives within record time
strategizing on the best application of information systems for the seamless delivery of education through the Open and Distance Learning model
managing the staff and learners’ support services of the Centre
developing strong relationships with governmental and non-governmental agencies to create awareness and build resources for the Centre
Mr. Ebere has positioned himself to see to the full realization of the university’s dreams and aspirations concerning the Centre for Distance & e-Learning in the area of Information Communication Technology application to learning.
