Concentration of Toxic Substances in Edible Crops Following Use of Sewage Waste in Selfhelp Farming Practices by Rural Families in Obukpa, Nsukka

Not much is known about the health hazards associated with the use of sewage wastes for self-help farming activities. In this study the heavy metal concentrations in the sewage sludge, sewage-sludge-soil mixtures and edible crops grown on the site were evaluated, with a view to ascertain whether they are at levels considered harmful for human consumption.
