CRISIS OF NIGERIAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM: THE WAY FORWARD

Abstract

The educational system has been designed to produce citizens who are capable of adapting themselves not only to their environment - the world but - -- also to bring about development within ones environment.
This work discussed crisis threats affecting the Nigerian educational
system, which include gross and chronic under-funding of education, student
unrest, general inadequacy of infrastructure and facilities, reasons to strike,
certificate rackets, examination rnalpracticl~ etc.
Recommendations are made to show how the crisis of the Nigerian
educational system could be addressed.
