Gas projects in less developed countries are typically high risk and low reward/incentive. Availability and terms of financing will usually depend on the lender's assessment of project risks and economic rewards/incentives. Against this background the Nigeria liquefied Natural gas (NLNG) project bedevilled by several problems has currently been seeking crucial financing without much success.
