The LD,70 ( 246 m ~ / k gi .p. ) of C, dolichopetal root 1 70% extract was determined in rats. C. dolichopctdum extract, in a 5 day i.p. treatment produced varying aparasitamic period,r, with relapse inJiclion occurring in all /realmen/ groups of rats injected zoi T.b. brucei or T. congolense. Suppression o existing parasilemia appeared to be dose-dependence: with maximum effect being reached with 80 mg/kg in each case.
