The Lost illusions, is a novel of Balzac which shows how the concept of life, of those living in a bourgeois society, a conception which although untrue, is not necessarily what. it is, and is destroyed by the brute force of capitalism. Cervantes, the first great novel on Don Quixote is also a story of illusions.
