THE ORIGIN OF MY TOWN (ORBA)

Orba was one of the towns in the old Nsukka Division (now called Nsukka senatorial zone) and later in Isi-uze local government of the then Anambra state of Nigeria. It is at present in the Udenu local government of Enugu state of Nigeria. The 1963 census figure, gave the population of Orba as; 16,421 people area of 160 square kilometers and a population density of 94 persons per square kilometer. No doubt, the population must have increased considerably since 1963.
