The family of the university of Nigeria, according to Obiechina, E, et al 91986), coincided with the accession of Nigeria to national independence. Its forty-seven years of existence, have therefore, coincided also with the first 47 years of Nigeria's life as a sovereign state. The university also has the only one named after the country while every other university is named after the town or the state in which it is situated or after a distinguished personality.
This privatization and commercialization is an economic
programme by the government to denationalize management
of public enterprises and allow to a greater level the private
ownership and management and create better market
competition and improvement and growth.
In discussing and analyzing this topic, the work was
divided into three parts:
Part (i) was the introduction and subject matter
description and analysis.
Part (ii) was about societal reaction to the introduction
of privatization and commercialization . of Obasanjo
Part (ii.2) was privatization in Nigeria
Part (iii) was about economic and political implication.,

Oil has been an integral part of the Nigerian economy since vast reserves of
petroleum were found in the country in the I950s, but exploration and
development of that oii has had severe environmental impacts and human
consequences. Nigeria continues to suffer the detrimental effects on marine
life and human health from constant oil spills, as well as from air pollution
that I-esults fi-om the flaring of associated gas that occurs duling the
production of oil.
The Nigerian government has indicated a dcsire to change this situation, and
in recent years, it has taken actual measures to effect this change. While the
Nigerian government in the past has been reactive, attempting to clean up oil
spills and to deal with environmental damage after it occurs, it realizes the
importance of taking a proactive approach. In this regard, the government is
promoting the performance of environmental risk assessments, prior to
project initiation. Tighter regulation and better enforcement of existing
environmental laws should help stem the degradation of the environment
and prevent the same type of problems in the future.
Crime, robbery and rape are generally detested and considered inhumane. but suffice it to say that a more subtle and salient tool for destruction of lives and property wrapped in the linings of religious activism is gradually emerging. It comes in the guise of religion so that would not rightly condemn them, but somehow give it a second though.
