An Evaluation of Five Herbicides for Monoculture Plantain Production

Abstract

The effect of ametryne, simezine, diuron, 2,4-D-amino and paraquet at 2.25kg ai/ha, 2.75kg ai/ha, 2.0kg ai/ha, 1.60kg ai/ha and 0.5kg ai/ha respectively, were compared with hoe weeding and unweeded control in plantain (Musa spp ABB) at Nsukka and Umuagwo.
