Effects of Age, Sex and Physiological State on the Protein-Bound Iodine Levels of Two Genetic Groups of Pigs in the Tropics Keywords

Two experiments were conducted: the first, to determine the effect of age(1-6 weeks) and sex on the protein -bound iodine(PBI) levels of two genetic groups of piglets and the second, to determine the effect of physiological state on the PBI values of pregnant sows, lactating sows, non-pregnant dry sows and mature boars of the LW X LC genetic group.
