Financing and Accounting in the Nigerian Railway Corporation

In this study attempt was made to appraise the fin ancing and accounting of the Nigerian Railway Corporation. Data were collected and analysed. The data were collected through interviews with the Chief Accountant of the Enugu District of the
Corporation, as well as from monthly financial transcripts (from the Enugu District to the Corporation's Headquarters) and published accounts of the Corporation, from 1993 to 1997. The data were analysed using cross tabulations, percentages, graphs, regression analysis and logical deductions.
