'The Youth for Jesus
it was at this point that the youths of his time refused to join in the
rlijusticc of the elders. They gathered around him and trcatcd him as a
king, which he is. They led him in solemn procession into Jerusalem,
shouting, singing and dancing, saying "Hosanna! Blesscd is he who
comes in the name of the Lord" (Mk 1 1 : l O ) "God save the son of David
{Mt 21:lO). Young people, boys, girls, children, all of them singing for
ixrsus, the rejected one. They refused to be silenced. Imagine how Jcsus
felt that day. As soon as those clders who had decided that Jesus must
?i.le saw the youths rallying around Jesus, they all run away.
