Influence of Systems of Management on Growth and Health of West African Dwarf Sheep.

Abstract

The effects of management system and feeding regimen
on growth and health of West African Dwarf Sheep was investigated
at the Sheep Unit of the Uni'versity of Rigeria, Nsukka farm.
Twelvc intact West African Dwarf sheep of both sexes (6-8
months old), purchased from local markets, were used in the
experiment.. These animals were randomly assigned, after the
quarantine period, to faur treatment groups of three replicates -. - . I. per treathent group. The treatmilts w~'re as Fallows : I, restricted,
supplemented; 11, rssxricted, unsupplemented; 111, unrestricted,
supplemented; IV, unrestricted, unsupplernented.
