Banking as a service industry finds Information Technology (IT) most amenable lo its operations. Hardly existing technology has the strategic potential of information technology to change the over all structures of a banking organization w wen the banking industry. Any bank can use IT to change the rules of competition in its own favour. It is because 07 this reason that this research work undertook an examination of the role of Information Technology in the 21 st Century banking with special focus on 3 Nigerian banks.
