Abstract

Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) is the result of the combination the actions
of static tensile stresses and those of corrosion on a load bearing mechanical
component hand lay-up _Glass Reinforced Plastics (GHP) composites
samples (25% fibre volume content) were very carefully molded to prevent
production related defects
