Abstract

The ideological projections of the Nsukka School, of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, through extra-cultural interactions, have registered strong vibrations in diaspora. Since the transit of interaction on the international level became intensified by the early 1990s, routed through the United States of America particularly, remarkable landmarks have been registered by some of the artists on the international arena. Historically, not much has been documented on their professional practices in diaspora, which would be appraised respectively from their stylistic and methodological achievements as impacted from the cultures of diasporation. The objective of this project thus reckons into historical relevance, the impact created by the artists of the Nsukka School in the diaspora, as embraced from their respective avenues of style and language of form, based on the primal philosophy of the Nsukka School.
