Perceptions of United Nations Development Programme Poverty Reduction Projects in Ubulu-Okiti Community of Aniocha South L.G.A., Delta State

Abstract

A study, using Cross-sectional survey design was conducted to
identify the perceptions of Ubulu-Okiti people to UNDP poverty reduction
projects in their community. The study population used was all Youths and
adults (78years and above) of both sexes in the community, It also
includes members of 'the Community Project Management Committee
(C.P.M.C) Ubulu -0kiti Women Development Association and Community
Development Association. A total of 500 questionnaires were administered,
four hundred and eighty-four (484) were eventually retrieved. Analytic
induction method was used for the analysis of qualitative data. Data
collected using the questionnaire, in-depth interview and focus group
discussion was carefully edited to ensure completeness, consistency and
accuracy and thereafter analyzed using the statistical package for the
Social Sciences
