The plasma total protein, albumin and globulin levels from 93 sickle cell anemia (HbSS) patients from UNTH, Enugu, and aged 15-30 years were determined. The Albumin/Globulin ratio was equally calculated. for the control, 96 healthy volunteers with normal adult haemoglobin (HbAA) matched for age and sex were recruited for the study.
