The area under study is made up of five local government areas. The local
governments are Abakaliki, Ebonyi, Izzi, Ishielu and Ohaukwu all summed up to
make Abakaliki North Senatorial Zone.
The study within this region was focused on the existing activities, the growth
potentials and the constraints preventing these activities and potentials from yielding
positive dividend towards developing the region. The study covered the existing population, all forms of economic activities, housing, education, health, agriculture and other land uses within the region.
