Teachers’ Evaluation of Classroom Management Strategies in Secondary Schools in Delta State

Abstract

The overall purpose of this study was to appraise through the opinions of secondary school teachers in Delta State, the strategies for effective management of students' classroom behavior problems. In an attempt to focus the study, three research questions and two hypothesis were
formulated. A 24-item questionnaire was developed and administered to 400 secondary school teachers (110) urban and 290 rural) in all the education zones of Delta State. Means were used to answer the three research questions while the t-test statistic was used to test the two null hypotheses formulated for the study.
