Abstract

Church state relations have not always and everywhere been cordial. The history of Europe is replete with stories of major confrontations between these two authorities. But such confrontations are now largely a thing of the past in European and most developed countries of the Western world, but not so in the developing countries. At least in one State in the Federation of Nigeria there is currently a serious conflict between the church and the government, the major cause of which is the issue of educational administration.
