Abstract

In every country of the world whether developed or developing, road transport plays a key role in economic growth and development, Like other forms of internal transport - railroads and waterways - they influence, to a great extent, the distribution of economic growth and development over a
given country by providing easy access to various pacts in - the Movement of goods and services. Today, road transport handles about two-thirds of all commodities moved to and from all the country's seaport, and handles more than ninety-five percent (95%) of all internal movement of goods and persons (Onakomaiyo, 1982).
