We are all familiar with the goals of the nursing profession, that is, to care in such a unique way as to assist the individual sick or well in the performances of those activities contributing to health or recovery or peaceful death that he/she would perform unaided if he/she has the necessary will, strength or knowledge and to do this in such a way as to help him gain full or partial independence as rapidly as possible.
