The understanding and use of research are becoming
more and more important in today's business world.
Tremendous amounts of research information are available.
The most successful managers and decision makers are the
ones who can understand the information and make use of it
effectively. In some cases, a research study will be undertaken
to provide direct help with a current problems and pending
decision. In other cases, research provides valuable
information about the general business and management
environment within which decision must be made. We provide
examples that illustrate some uses of research in business
and economies.
