The thrust of this work is on the state, labour movement and the formulation
and implementation of Petroleum Products Deregulation in Nigeria: A Focus on
Nigeria Labour Congress. State labour movement relationship cannot be
overemphasized in any society to be precise in Nigeria. hence, for the purpose of this study, the following questions were posed: firstly, how does the Nigeria Labour Congress influence state deregulation policy on petroleum products in Nigeria? secondly, how does the government manage Nigeria labour congress pressures over its petroleum products deregulation policy? , lastly, what are the prospects and implications of state and NLC conflicts on state-labour relations in Nigeria.
