All the basic human needs like food, air, water, shelter, medical care and so o have direct or indirect link with one's environment. In Nigeria, about two-thirds of the 88.5 million citizens live in 97,000 rural communities (United Nations Children's Fund - UNICEF 1990) where the lives of the people are characterized by poverty, misery, morbidity and underdevelopment.
