Corruption which has crept into our national life and fast destroying
productivity and reducing the pace development in Nigeria has been
ineptly examined.
Chapter one takes a look at the history of corruption in Nigeria,
as well as some Nigerian past leaders that had fought tirelessly in
eradicating the menace of corruption. The same chapter one also
underscores few Nigerian leaders that were not ready to challenge the
status quo.
Chapter two considers the constitutional power of EFCC .The
statutory responsibility of checking sharp practices, the same chapter
also examines the scope and limitation of its power. This chapter also
loolts at enormous problems that beset the activities of the body.
The third chapter takes a trip down memory lane and brought to
bear the impacts of EFCC on Nigerian politics and economy since its
establishment, reliable ways in combating the shortcomings of EFCC
are also suggested.
Chapter four contains the suggestion and recommendation.
